Numbers 18:1-32
18:1-7 The priests (Aaron and his family) as well as the Levites are given their duties by God. They are called to serve His ministry faithfully and justly.
18:8-32 God created a system in which faithful ministers of God's word would live off of the tithes and gifts of others. It was not meant to create affluence but a simple, happy lifestyle. If the they were focusing entirely on faith, they would need provisions (much like the disciples in the New Testament who lived off of others' kindness and of course God's love).
