10:1 This is a quick and easy chapter! The genealogy of the sons of Noah.
10:2-4 These were ancient nations, populations have continued to scatter since.
10:5 Gentiles are mentioned, therefore we again acknowledge that Noah alone did not populate the world. It also suggests that rather than a flooding of the whole earth, only a corrupted region was affected.
10:6-12 Generations of Japheth are listed. Nimrod would become a corrupt but prominent figure.
10:13-20 Generations of Ham are listed.
10:21-31 Generations of Shem are listed.
